A Thorntons Franchise is usually expected to turn
over a minimum of £100,000.
Franchise Fee - £15,000 - for use of the brand and expertise.
Design Fee - £2,500 - for design, help and advice.
Fixtures, Fittings and Shopfit.
An estimated cost for a Full Franchise would be around £30,000 to
£40,000 (circumstances may arise where costings are higher or
lower).
The discount on the product is 35% based on RRP (recommended retail
price) Less VAT.
The contract is for 5 years with a renewal option for a further 5
years at a renewal fee of £2,500.
Opening stock is around £8,000 - £25,000 dependent on time of
opening.
Labour costs are around 12% of sales annually.
Point of Sale (POS) is provided free of charge.
Product Promotions - most of the promotions are funded by
Thorntons.
In the first year of trading we operate a "Sale or Return" policy
during the 5 main seasons for seasonal specialities.
